Kat and Jimmy are longtime Revolutionaries. When they got engaged and asked us to do the catering, it was a no-brainer. Jimmy is an avid home-brewer and Kat has exquisite taste, so when the time came to put together a menu, we cracked open some delicious Baltic Porters and got creative.
The canapés were the easy part. We decided on mini buffalo meat pies, black pudding wontons, and mini butternut squash & cheddar quiches.
For their mains, Jimmy wanted to give people smaller amounts of each element in order to maximize flavors and encourage a shared experience; he asked us to deliver a sharing plate with 5 individual dishes on it. The result was an eating extravaganza like no other. Kat’s mom has been a lover of Irish Pakora since 2014, so we used that as a starting point and developed the menu from there.
It was such an honor to be a part of this beautiful and creative day at Summerhall. Thanks to the bride and groom for including us, Weddings by Sara Jane – the most prepared planners ever, the venue and everyone else who had a hand in making magic happen.
